E85 ethanol and other blended fuels have many contaminates capable of destroying fuel injectors and pumps. In the first stage, zero flow restrictions are accomplished through magnetic filtration. This process uses a 35mm neodymium magnet at the filter inlet to trap ferrous contaminants, keeping them from destroying fuel injectors and pumps.
