These headers are designed to increase exhaust velocity and increase usable torque, resulting in a more aggressive throttle response and increased passing power. Tuning may be required depending on application.
aFe Twisted Steel headers are constructed of 409 stainless steel tubing with thick, CNC-machined flanges to ensure a leak-free seal. They incorporate a merge collector design, reducing the turbulence that occurs when using the traditional form collector-style designs. The performance gains are obvious when coupled with a high-flow Y-pipe. The aFe headers feature a tuned length primary that is out-flowing the stock manifolds by as much as 46 percent.
